★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nando offers exquisite pastries and chocolates in a small but tasteful space. You can enjoy a coffee, shop for sweets and buy lovely bottles of wine. There's outdoor seating and table service. This place is worth a detour.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Conveniently located just a couple of blocks down the street from the Scalo terminus of the funicular (cable car) that runs up and down between Orvieto proper on the plateau and Orvieto Scalo (lower city) this is the best bakery and lunch stop we've found in the Orvieto environs. We often meet friends there for a glass of wine and a snack in the evening, or stop in when we're shopping in Scalo.
