Welcoming kindness availability, and if necessary it feeds the hungry with appetizers, pasta etc. etc. Better to book so they are more prepared.

È stata una serata in cui a cena ho dovuto dire " basta, grazie!" per il continuo portare in tavola.
Cibo ottimo, abbondante...servito con il sorriso e il piacere di averti per cena...come si fa con gli amici.
Ho degustato degli ottimi antipasti ( caponata da urlo ) , una pasta con pomodorini e asparagi selvatici ( e chi c'era " megghio de mia ") - una salsiccia alla griglia ( da leccarsi i baffi ) e dei cannoli dalla " cialda" croccante.
Sapere che c'è qualcuno che ti accoglie così a fine giornata è una dolce carezza .

Dinner along the Magna Via Francigena.
It was an evening when I had to say "enough, thanks!" for the continuous bringing to the table.
Excellent food, plentiful ... served with a smile and the pleasure of having you for dinner ... as you do with friends.
I tasted excellent appetizers (caponata to scream), a pasta with cherry tomatoes and wild asparagus (and who was there "megghio de mia") - a grilled sausage (mouth-watering) and cannoli with crunchy "wafer".
Knowing that there is someone who welcomes you like this at the end of the day is a sweet caress.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wir wurden hier nach langer Wanderung freundlich empfangen. Guter Kaffee, gutes Gebäck und Eis. Nach Empfehlung und Reservierung durch unseren Gastgeber durften wir sehr gute, viele typische Gerichte in mehreren Gängen probieren. Sollte man sich nicht entgehen lassen.
We were warmly welcomed here after a long hike. Good coffee, good pastries and ice cream. After a recommendation and reservation from our host, we were allowed to try many very good, typical dishes in several courses. Should not be missed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Before visiting Sicily I didn't realize that even the most unassuming bar might also be a wonderful small family run restaurant. Bar Gattuso is a great example. Run by a friendly family, Bar Gattuso served us memorable local dishes at a very reasonable price. From antipasti to main courses to desserts and digestifs, they offer it all. Be sure to stop here if you're in (or anywhere near) Castronovo di Sicilia.
