Baito ridotto a rudere nella terra di nessuno battuta dalle mitragliatrici austriache che le truppe italiane dovevano attraversare. Historic for the great war. You find nothing only history. Si denota uno stato di abbandono. Baito located at the foot of Ortigara. Poor maintenance .. It should at least be restored and made more welcoming especially for makeshift shelter. Da qui si dipartono due sentieri: avanti diritto si sale verso la cima nel tragitto più breve e si arriva alla colonna mozza. Piegando a destra il sentiero è un po' più lungo ma molto bello e panoramico. Si percorre la traccia in verticale che seguirono gli italiani quando riuscirono ad arrivare sulla cima attraverso la conquista di una trincea austro-ungarica, e di una galleria nido di mitragliatrici, su una traccia in verticale (ma per niente difficile) a strapiombo sulla sottostante Valsugana. It's just a hut under Mount Ortigara. From here two paths branch off: straight ahead you go up towards the summit on the shortest way and arrive at the top of the hill. Bending to the right the path is a little longer but very beautiful and panoramic. Follow the vertical track that followed the Italians when they managed to reach the top through the conquest of an Austro-Hungarian trench, and a machine-gun nest gallery, on a vertical track (but not at all difficult) overhanging the underlying Valsugana .

Dentro in terra battuta, con un tavolo e dei chiodi lungo le travi per appendere zaini in caso di necessità. Small providential building in bad weather (I speak from experience) and close to two routes to Mount Ortigara. Inside in beaten earth, with a table and nails along the beams to hang backpacks in case of need.
M	Massimo Franchini on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sulla destra il sentiero per la cima dell'Ortigara è molto bello, impegnativo, a tratti esposto ma sempre protetto e con l'aiuto di scalini e corde. Per chi ha un cane consiglio l' altro più diretto ma meno panoramico che si snoda nella parte finale verso la cima tra le trincee austriache. On the right, the path to the top of Ortigara is very beautiful, challenging, at times exposed but always protected and with the help of steps and ropes. For those who have a dog I recommend the other, more direct but less panoramic, which winds in the final part towards the top among the Austrian trenches.
