l	luca maulella on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ottima visita ristrutturata perfetta eventi interessanti a cui partecipare suggestivamente illuminata la sera e la notte in piazza Dante e attaccata alla stazione ferroviaria e degli autobus nessuna scusa per non andare agli eventi che vengono organizzati consiglio di visitare e di partecipare ottima l'acustica!!! Excellent renovated visit perfect interesting events to participate in suggestively illuminated in the evening and night in Piazza Dante and attached to the train and bus station no excuse not to go to the events that are organized I recommend to visit and participate excellent acoustics !!!

M	Massimo Sardagna on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Prezioso monumento della città di forma romanica del 1146, tristemente compressa tra la stazione ferroviaria e quella delle corriere. Un tempo faceva parte di un ampio complesso monastico dei padri Benedettini di Vallalta. Nel Duecento passò ai Domenicani che vi rimasero fino al 1776. Da allora il monastero fu convertito progressivamente in ergastolo,ricovero per i poveri,lazzareto, caserma. In epoca fascista fu demolito per far posto alla “casa dei balilla”, la quale venne a sua volta abbattuta nel secondo dopoguerra per consentire il sorgere della stazione delle corriere. La chiesa risparmiata a queste vicessitudini, seppur danneggiata dai bombardamenti del secondo conflitto mondiale, si trova qualche metro più in basso rispetto al livello attuale del terreno circostante e questo a causa delle alluvioni dell’Adige e dei lavori di costruzione della ferrovia, L’edificio è di pietra calcarea nella parte inferiore, mentre in alto si conclude con il laterizio. L’interno, spoglio e severo, è molto suggestivo. E’ a tre navate e il presbiterio con tre absidi si trova rilevato rispetto ad esse. La volta è affrescata con la semplice decorazione della stella domenicana del XIII secolo. Conserva statue dello scultore Luigi Degasperi e vetrate di Remo Wolf. Precious monument of the Romanesque city of 1146, sadly compressed between the railway station and that of the courier. It was once part of a large monastic complex of the Benedictine fathers of Vallalta. In the thirteenth century it passed to the Dominicans who remained there until 1776. The church spared in these vicissitudes, although damaged by the bombings of the Second World War, is located a few meters lower than the current level of the surrounding terrain and this is due to the floods of the Adige and the construction works of the railway. it is of limestone in the lower part, while at the top it ends with the brick. The interior, bare and severe, is very impressive. It has three naves and the presbytery with three apses is found relative to them. The vault is frescoed with the simple decoration of the 13th century Dominican star. It preserves statues of the sculptor Luigi Degasperi and stained glass windows by Remo Wolf.

Bellissima chiesa in stile romanico che ha mantenuto nel tempo il suo aspetto medioevale nonostante i danni subiti : guerra e inondazione fiume Adige. Stile architettonico imponente. Si trova a pochi passi dalla stazione dei treni. Consultare orari per visita all' interno. Badia di San Lorenzo, Trento. Beautiful Romanesque style church that has maintained its medieval appearance over time despite the damage suffered: war and flood of the Adige river. Imposing architectural style.
