Gli antipasti sono molto buoni, a base di salumi tipici della zona o comunque locali (soppressata, salsiccia stagionata, prosciutto, pancetta, capicollo) e altri sfizi ("pipi e patati", ricottine, frittatine, frittini). La trippa alla "vommicinara" (di Buonvicino) è delicatissima, la carne è buona. Conviene prenotare perché pure a fine agosto i tavoli erano pieni. Prezzi onesti adeguati alla qualità, al costo di qualche chilometro di curve per raggiungere il locale. The appetizers are very good, based on typical local or local cold cuts (soppressata, cured sausage, ham, bacon, capicollo) and other whims ("pee and potatoes", ricottine, omelettes, frittini). Tripe alla "vommicinara" (from Buonvicino) is very delicate, the meat is good. It is advisable to book because even at the end of August the tables were full. Honest prices adjusted to the quality, at the cost of a few kilometers of curves to reach the place.

Si mangia divinamente e il vino della casa è ottimo (ci siamo ripromessi di tornare e chiedere se lo vendono anche da portare via!). Siamo andati per il loro famoso baccalà (fritto con peperoni cruschi e in umido con pomodorini e cipolla, con obbligo di scarpetta!... difficile scegliere quale è più buono! ...e non abbiamo scelto: ordinati entrambi!) ma siamo rimasti piacevolmente sorpresi dallla bontà della grigliata mista di carne! Ci hanno "accolti" con una fresina (fatta da loro con la pasta della pizza, sottilissima e friabile!) con pomodirini e frittelle di zucchine che da sole valevano i km fatti per arrivare! Complimenti! Excellent experience: we went under the recommendation of local friends and I absolutely confirm the advice! Staff very courteous and I await. The food is divine and the house wine is excellent (we promised ourselves to come back and ask if they also sell it to take away!). We went for their famous cod (fried with cruschi peppers and stewed with cherry tomatoes and onion, with the obligation to wear a shoe! ... difficult to choose which one is tastier! ... and we didn't choose: ordered both!) But we stayed pleasantly surprised by the goodness of the mixed grilled meat! They "welcomed" us with a fresina (made by them with pizza dough, very thin and crumbly!) With cherry tomatoes and zucchini fritters that alone were worth the miles made to arrive! Compliments!

Fusilli al sugo di capra, capretto al forno e tante altre pietanze da provare. Non abbiamo mangiato l'antipasto, è tanto abbondante che da solo può andare bene per un pranzo. Tre primi, tre secondi, due contorni, una bottiglia di vino, due dolci e tre caffè : conto 75 euro. Veramente ottimo. Dimenticavo le pietanze servite sono molto abbondanti. Lo consiglio. Excellent traditional local cuisine. True flavors of Calabria and authenticity of the products prepared. Fusilli with goat sauce, roast kid and many other dishes to try. We did not eat the starter, it is so abundant that on its own it can be good for a lunch. Three first courses, three second courses, two side dishes, a bottle of wine, two desserts and three coffees: the bill is 75 euros. Really great. I forgot the dishes served are very abundant. I advise.

The family is so, so kind, the b&b was in the rocks of lovely Buonvicino. We had so much nice, local food some that we ordered, and some not - we were completely stuffed, and very happy. I definitely recommend. :-)
