O	Olga Piltiaeva on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ we had a very poor experience communicating with avis, very rude staff, they gave us a car with a manual gearbox which even we couldn't shift, we asked to change to the auto, they said it's not possible and if you don't want this car just go away. It was awful experience and it ruined our day in sanremo our travel plans.

People working there are efficient, but they can't answer every question relevant to the rental and they don't have a wide selection of models. Also there are some hidden details about the cover. Last time they asked me double the price that I normally pay, for unknown reasons.
R	Rick Nystrom on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It has apparently reopened in the same location. There are two desks inside, one for avis, and one for the other company. This place is a complete and utter scam. I rented from avis San Remo, and returned at Venice Marco Polo airport. When I got to San Remo, the ladies eyes were as big as plates when she realized that she had given my car to the wrong Richard! Some other guy with the same first name showed up, and even though he had a reservation from another company, he went to the avis desk first, and they gave him my car! After 45 minutes, they located him, the lady from the other company went to switch cars. When i got it, it was missing an eighth of a tank of gas, and had garbage in it. 30 minutes into the drive I realize the AC is out. I call them back up and there is nothing they can do. I turn the car in 7 hours later in Venice. I complain there about the terrible situation, and request a refund, and they tell me there is nothing they can do, just call avis. The next day, i get a bill for $1,300 for bogus damages! A scuff on the bumper, and three of the rims scuffed, each over $300 each. The first time i complained they emailed me back and not only did they decline my request for refunds, they said they found more damage and added more charges. I'm I'm the second round with them now. This place is a scam, stay far far away.
J	Jason Downing on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I booked a mercedes and was given a ford. I paid extra for the mercedes at booking and was told the ford was equivalent. Not much point booking a mercedes then is there? I booked the car for pickup in Sanremo and return in Rome. I accept I failed to check the voucher until the day of pickup but the voucher said return in Sanremo, so I had to pay an extra 86 Euros for the return in another location which was supposed to be part of the booking. When went to return the car to the address provided, leaving the hotel at 12.10pm, we then saw that the return place closed at 12.30 which did not give us enough time to refuel the car and get there. They told us we had to pay another 14 Euros to return the car to a garage down the road. When we got there at 1.30 the garage down the road was just about to close as well. When we collected the car we were not told that we could not return the car after 12.30 on the Sunday. The return place did not tell us the garage down the road would close at 1.30. So I would not hire from this place again.
R	Rozitta Rapetti on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible service,cheating with prices,won't book in advance,booking an appointment 30min before closer and increasing the prices so you can't get in touch with other car rentals or change your mind.ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! BEWARE!!!! For 2 days rentals of Ford cuga asked 270€ when started booking price has been increased by 80€ +extra insurance despite of the first price supposed to include full insurance.TERRIBLE!!!!!

Went back in to the office to be told again there were no cars but happily took the money online. We were told we could cancel the booking but we would be charged anyway. Don't book online as you cannot guarantee there will be cars available. This place is a SCAM, be careful.
