★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il proprietario ha fatto un miracolo. Mi trovavo per lavoro in valdorcia e la macchina dava problemi di tenuta di strada. La porto qui per un controllo: gomme da cambiare immediatamente. Era venerdì mattina e mi serviva subito una soluzione. Il proprietario- gentilissimo - ha chiamato tutti i fornitori finché non ne ha trovato uno che gli portava le mie gomme in serata. Alle 8:30 ho fatto vedere la macchina e alle 18:30 avevo delle Pirelli 4 stagioni nuove di zecca. Un miracolo.
The owner worked a miracle. I was in the Val d'Orcia for work and the car was having road holding problems. I bring it here for a check: tires to change immediately. It was Friday morning and I needed a solution right away. The owner - very kind - called all the suppliers until he found one who brought him my tires in the evening. At 8:30 I showed the car and at 18:30 I had brand new Pirelli 4 seasons. A miracle.

I had roofracks on the car, so I used the high pressure washer.
The automat doesn’t take euro € coins.
You have to change euro’s for coins.
A coin gives you 1 min. to rinse the car….
The pressure washer (aqua alto pressione) doesn’t give ‘high’ pressure, just a trickle of water…
So I drove off with some dust on the car, but cleaner then before.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I used the automatic car wash to get rid of dust from driving on unpaved roads in Val D'Orcia. The basic full programme (number 3, €8, about 9 minutes) gave a satisfying result. Some more advanced cleaning programmes are available (up to €18), as well as a quick wash programme.
There are also two self-service stations with coins.
