Astoria Park Hotel Spa Resort

This wonderful hotel and it's great food, lovely gardens and high level of cleanliness could not be faulted. We had the most fabulous week staying here and the staff really were so professional and friendly which really made the whole experience a joy.

Rather small rooms, but great breakfast and awesome poolarea with ample space even though hotel was full.

Very cozy and a relaxing place to stay at. There was a good size pool with areas for kids. The pool was not too crowded in the mornings but during later hours it could get harder to find space. The breakfast was amazing but they closed a little early (10:00AM). The location was great, it took less than 10 min to reach the center of the small town. The only issue was with parking. The booking site states that there is free parking, which is true, but only for a few cars, ofcorse in the middle of high season it will be always full. Then they will tell you that you can park across the street in a public parking lot or pay 10 euros to stay in their garage. We ended up paying for garage which worked out great but they could not offer it for free which is a bummer.

This is a 4 star hotel. We payed extra to upgrade to this hotel from others included in our tour. This hotel was supposedly the top of the range. We got the basic room in the old part of the hotel, with no balcony. Others on the tour had better rooms with a balcony, we had no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. The room was neat and tidy but very basic. The staff were great and friendly. We were staying for 7 nights. On the 3rd evening we asked what we were signing for at dinner, the girl said we were signing for beers and or wine and water. When we queried why we were being charged for water that they should be offering water free with the meal, after all the same water was free with breakfast, we were informed the water was not free, we asked about tap water which is drinkable but the girl looked at us blankly? This should have been advertised but was not. There were no free drinks included in the evening meal, not even tea or coffee. The breakfast was brilliant everything including the water (the same water included in the evening meal) was free, the portions in the evening meal main course were terrible, very small portions. We did not mind paying for beer and wine but as we found out on the last evening we were being charged €2.50 euros per 1 litre of bottled water for the evening meal when the same water was free at breakfast? When we settled the bill on the last evening it was a total disaster, the girl on reception said we had had lunch several times and 13 bottles of water which we did not. We actually had 9 bottles of water and no lunches, over the 7 days between 4 adults. As far as i can see this hotel has been awarded 4 stars when it should actually have 2 to 3. The evening dining arrangements are terrible, poor portions with nothing to drink with your meal included in the price. I paid 65 euros, my parents paid 75 euros of which 9 bottles of water were included at €2.50 a bottle. This is an extortionate amount for something which should be included free of charge, after all it is free in the morning. On our last morning it was a 4.45 am alarm call with breakfast at 5.15am in the foyer. This ridiculous excuse for breakfast was tea and coffee with chocolate chip cookies, cakes and pastries? Nothing else, other persons on the tour at other cheaper hotels had their breakfast orders taken the evening before and received a full breakfast before their departure? I am to say the least very very disappointed in the hotel Astoria park hotel and spa. The treatment of myself my wife and parents was deplorable especially when charging for the water we had during our evening meal something which in a 4 star hotel should have been free. I will never staying at this hotel again.

We stayed a few days to fully enjoy the spa, we did half board and spa. It was all great. Room always clean and tidy. Excellent restaurant, fantastic breakfast, friendly and friendly staff. Nice spa, nothing was missing and staff prepared. We will gladly return...

Quite nice hotel. The service is really good! The superior rooms are very nice. Tho, the mattresses are not very good sadly. The indoor spa is small but relaxing. The outdoor pool is quite pretry. The bar/restaurant is a bit expensive but the food is ok. Overall good value for money.
