L'associazione è affiliata alla Federazione Scacchistica Italiana, ne osserva lo Statuto e le norme regolamentari, si impegna a praticare e sviluppare le attività indette dalla Federazione ed ha durata illimitata. Ha lo scopo di favorire la diffusione, l'apprendimento, l'esercizio e lo sviluppo del gioco degli scacchi nel Comune di Venezia, su tutto il territorio nazionale e anche all'estero, respinge ogni forma di discriminazione, è basata sui principi solidaristici e di aggregazione sociale, di uguaglianza tra i soci e non ha scopi di lucro.
It is one of the oldest Circles (now an association) in Italy. It was founded on December 5, 1920, continuing the tradition started by the charisma of Salvioli in 1883. The association is affiliated with the Italian Chess Federation, observes its Statute and regulatory norms, undertakes to practice and develop the activities announced by the Federation and has unlimited duration. It aims to promote the dissemination, learning, practice and development of the game of chess in the Municipality of Venice, throughout the national territory and also abroad, rejects all forms of discrimination, is based on solidarity principles and of social aggregation, of equality between the members and is non-profit-making.
