I had to get a COVID RT-PCR test fast in Rome as our hotel referred us to a pharmacy located near Spanish Steps and they only had certain time slots. As the pharmacy times didn't fit our schedule (price was 69 Euros/person), I found Artemisia online which does all kinds of COVID tests, but especially helpful was the same day RT-PCR test in 4 hours (140Euro/person) so I could have the results well within the 72 hours requirement the Canadian got requires for my return. I booked appointment via my phone for 3 time slots online on Saturday with time starting from 7am to mid morning. Took a taxi to their lab Saturday early AM which was very easy to find, other than saying to us we needed to have an appointment (we did), they didn't check my name/appointment time and despite having filled out info online, had to fill out more forms (make sure you allow time to do this if you have to get somewhere as we did - only issue is don't know why all the passport and address information needed to be filled out online if you have to fill out same info again in the lab - that's why 4 stars vs 5 stars). Once you hand in the filled out forms - they enter the information online and double check your email information (very important) with you on the print out and took our payment by credit card. The test was done upstairs with staff fluent in English and very friendly. The test was fast and simple and received the results within the 4 hours. Additionally, one person in our group didn't receive the email (probably server issue), so called them on Sunday and with broken English & broken Italian, they were very helpful in resending the results to another email address in a few minutes. I know other reviewers had other experiences, but basically for rush service in Italy on a Saturday AND Sunday, this was otherwise very smooth. While not cheap, it is a very good option with results/PDF in Italian and in English. One helpful suggestion from another review (thank you) - when you go to book the appt online (I did it all on my iphone) - there is a 'menu' section in bottom right - you can click on that and choose "Idioma" to toggle to many other languages (English in my case) to book your appointment time. I want to thank the lady at the reception, who with limited English and my googling words in Italian, was very patient with me in helping me out and getting the results resent to another email address on a Sunday at 8am and answered the phone right away.

Worst experience ever! I booked 2 covid tests by e mail. I asked the price for 2 people and confirmed it, the price for 2 was 140 euros. My booking was for 9 am on a Saturday. When I got there I got the forms to fill out (they should just have them online) but instead you have to line up to get the forms.. Then I was sent to the end of the line while they kept giving preference to an American group that had showed up. Booking does not mean anything as they give priority to big groups (more money). Not only that, but they charged the ridiculous amount of 280 EUROS for 2 pcr tests (double the normal price given to me on the e mail). Horrible experience in every way.

I was a little hesitant about this place after reading the reviews, but the location was convenient and it was the cheapest pcr test i could find. I had an easy experience getting my pcr covid test to continue on to Hungary after visiting Rome. Staff was professional and kind and spoke English. I did the 24 hr pcr for 60 euros and got the results about 6 hours after I took the test. While i look forward to the end of covid test requirements, it wasnt a big deal to get it taken care of here.

I paid 60€ for my test but told them that I would need the result on the next day for my flight. 3,5 hours later I already got the mail with the result as a PDF. My boyfriend did his test one day later in the morning, paid 140€ for getting the result within 4 hours but only got a mail after 5 hours, without the test in PDF format and also couldn't open his result because everything was written in Italian and it didn't really work with the health number. Don't get tested there...

Front desk: slow and impolite Covid test: nurse was kind but test was the most invasive we have had despite travels to multiple other countries. Children had bloody noses and were traumatized. It doesn’t have to be that way. Environment: clean and modern

I got tested in the morning and paid 140€ because i wanted to get the result within 4 hours (that's what the guys at the reception told me) because i needed the result for my flight in the afternoon. As I didn't receive my result after 4,5 hours I called them and they told me that they can only send it in 30 minutes (this was already too late). when I finally received the Mail with the result, I couldn't open it because everything was written in italian and couldn't enter with the health number. I would never book a test there again.

Was hesitant to use this place because of all the bad reviews, but found it entirely unwarranted. I booked online the day before, on arrival had to wait less than 5 mins, staff took my details, within 5mins did the swab. Took the express 4 hours service, sample taken at 10am, result out 1.30pm, within 3,5 hours as promised. Comments about rude, I think generally are misunderstood because the staff does not speak the best English. They are professional, its not a hospitality business..

Very rude staff! The blond lady at the desk made a mistake in the sign up process even though I clearly told her that I had a flight the next day at and I needed the test for it to be within 24 hours which is why I had an appointment in 5 minutes. She went on to ignore me and signed me up immediately making the test time clearly beyond the required 24 hours. When I noticed her mistake, I asked to change it to which she had the audacity to blame me and give me a sarcastic attitude that it was impossible to change. The owner came and asked her to change it to whom she gave a standoffish attitude too. After 10 minutes of back and forth I asked for a refund and then magically it could be fixed....or at least that's what she said. That's because the test I eventually received still had the wrong time. I asked them to fix it and nothing. They sent me the same test again. I had to pay again for another last minute test somewhere else. The guys upstairs taking the actual test were very friendly and professional. Too bad for such bad costumer service. They even called back just to berate and shout at my mom who happened to pick up the phone! You should be ashamed of yourselves! It's not worth being treated this way. I strongly discourage anybody to go somewhere else and not to get your tests at the Artemisia Lab. As you can see from the other reviews this is not an isolated incident.
