Alcune persone del posto ci hanno detto apertamente che si vergognano dello stato di incuria che versa l'area di sosta e non condividono il disinteresse totale dell'attuale amministrazione verso questa struttura e verso l'accoglienza turistica in generale. Qui comunque si può ancora effettuare lo scarico delle acque grigie e nere (non c'è l'acqua per sciacquare le cassette wc e per fare il carico) e manca la corrente elettrica. Abbiamo comunque trascorso una notte tranquilla insieme ad altri camperisti. The place is in an excellent position near the historic center, but is in a state of neglect as per published photos. A dicembre 2018 le sbarre di ingresso sono state smontate per cui l'ingresso è gratuito (fermo restando che chiedere, come è scritto, 20€, mi sembra decisamente eccessivo...). Non funzionano le prese di corrente, il bagno è stato semidistrutto da vandali e la presa d'acqua non funziona, in compenso si può scaricare sia grigie che cassetta. Abbiamo dormito insieme ad altri camperisti ed è molto tranquilla. Vorrei complimentarmi con l'amministrazione che si dimostra attenta a chi, come noi, fa del camper il mezzo prevalente per spostarsi e conoscere le tante realtà ed attrattive che questo splendido paese sa offrirci, ma vorrei anche suggerirgli di non immaginare questa categoria come dei polli da spennare e rendere la tariffa adeguata alle attrattive che il posto offre. Qualche albero permette di rifugiarsi sotto un po' di ombra. In generale, ottimo punto di appoggio se si vuole visitare il centro storico a due passi ma peccato il totale abbandono. Trascorrendo volendo una notte. È inspiegabile però come un Comune, decida di investire realizzando un'area come questa (cmq molto ben studiata) e poi lasci decadere tutto in questo modo. Purtroppo è un esempio di come non gestire i beni preziosi di cui la Sicilia è ricchissima. Una terra meravigliosa, senza pari ma purtroppo esempio di come una cattiva gestione, impedisca di essere la terra, senza dubbio, con la maggior potenzialità per essere la regione più ricca d'Italia.
