A	Andrea Romanet on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ L’antico ospedale della Confraternita dei Battuti - già presente e vivo in San Vito al Tagliamento, come si evince da un documento, nel 1369 - , venne costruito lunghe le mura cittadine, vicino alla via di transito dove pellegrini o malati potevano facilmente fermarsi per essere accolti nell’ospizio. Come le numerose confraternite laiche attive nel ‘300, i Battuti inizialmente praticavano le proprie pratiche di penitenza, prestando soccorso e assistenza pubblica in questa struttura. Edificio che nei secoli a seguire subì diverse modifiche con funzione comunque di ospizio fino al 1877, anno in cui l’ospedale si trasferì nell’odierno Ospedale Civile e la sede, ulteriormente trasformata al suo interno, divenne anche dimora di diversi esercizi commerciali. Oggi il luogo, con ambienti attentamente recuperati, adibito principalmente ad esposizioni, convegni o cerimonie, offre un fascino particolare, con la sua primitiva cappella affrescata (affreschi di scuola friulana, sec.-fine XIV) al piano terra, i suoi tre piani e il magico cortile interno, dove il tempo sembra essersi fermato. The hospital of the Brotherhood of the Beaten - already present and living in San Vito al Tagliamento, as evidenced by a document in 1369 -, was built long the city walls, near the transit route where pilgrims and sick could easily stop for to be received in the hospice. Like the numerous lay brotherhoods active in the '300, the Battuti initially practiced their own penitential practices, providing help and public assistance in this structure. Building that in the following centuries underwent several changes with hospice still function until 1877, when the hospital moved in today Civil Hospital and the seat, further transformed on the inside, it also became home to several businesses. Today the place, with carefully restored rooms, used mainly for exhibitions, conferences or ceremonies, offers a special charm, with its primitive frescoed chapel (frescoes of the Friulian school, sec. -End. XIV) on the ground floor, its three floors and the magical inner courtyard, where time seems to have stopped.

Ideal place to do flea markets and exhibitions. In the center of San Vito, near the Scaramuccia tower, there is no parking, only for a fee.

Sono stata benissimo, l'aperitivo si è svolto nella piccola e accogliente corte e il pranzo è stato servito all'interno della struttura che anticamente era una chiesa. Tutto assolutamente perfetto. L'atmosfera era molto rilassante, sembrava di essere entrati in una favola. I was here to celebrate my cousin's wedding ... It's a wonderful place! A small renovated village where time has stopped. What to say? I had a great time, the aperitif took place in the small and cozy courtyard and lunch was served inside the building that was once a church. All absolutely perfect. The atmosphere was very relaxing, seemed to have entered a fairy tale.
