S	Simen Vinge on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A must visit in Bologna. A bit outside the city center, but definitely worth the trip. The decor hasn’t been changed since they opened 62 years ago. The staff is super sweet and professional and took such good care of us. All dishes were amazing and the lasagna verdi alla bolognese is probably the best I’ve ever had.

Next time I am in Bologna I will visit Gigina again. Best risotto I've ever had, too! Only downside was, it felt like I was eating at an airport. It was so bright inside. Maybe a little less lighting would make the atmosphere improve.

Two of us shared the one tartar ❤️, one lasagna with ragu Bolognaise and then the thing I love most: the veal cutlet with truffles and cheese. It’s out of this world. The vegetable contorni was great too. It’s a pretty old fashioned place that could probably stand an update. They even gave me the menu without pricing. Quaint. Highly recommend.

The food, by far, one of the best we had in this visit to Italy. You can taste the freshness in the pasta! Went in for a late dinner, in our best Italian fashion, and it was packed with locals, groups, and what seemed to be business groups. I would certainly recommend this restaurant. Some other reviewers seem to take stars away due to parking being street parking only, being from NYC, I am used to it and had no issues. That was definitely not a reason to take away points. Overall, the entire experience was great, from service to food. If you are in the area or passing by, leave the center of town and make a stop at Gigina.

Highly recommended for families couples etc... Will definetly visit again when in Bologna. We had Ravioli and pasta both of which were exceptional. The house pasta was one of the best I've ever had.
