C'ho perso due ore e non me ne sono nemmeno accorto, perso nei racconti del gentilissimo proprietario. Le cose più belle da vedere sono nascoste nei cassetti e nel retrobottega, è una divertente caccia al tesoro. Da non perdere More than a typography, it looks like a small art gallery, where time is lost and cellulose regains its splendid dialogue with the art of impression. I lost two hours and I didn't even notice it, lost in the stories of the very kind owner. The most beautiful things to see are hidden in the drawers and in the back room, it's a fun treasure hunt. Not to be missed

Sono entrata per caso in questa antica tipografia dai macchinari antichissimi che riescono a creare qualcosa di veramente unico. Raffinatezza ed eleganza sono presenti in ogni angolo, dalle creazioni del maestro Matteo su carte meravigliose e colori naturali agli oggetti antichi disseminati in maniera volutamente casuale. Con sottofondo di musiche gucciniane a me care, ho fatto un salto all’indietro nel tempo e ... non ne sarei più uscita! Walking through the narrow streets of a magical city, one cannot help but come across a magical place ... I accidentally entered this ancient typography with ancient machinery that manages to create something truly unique. Refinement and elegance are present in every corner, from the creations of the master Matteo on wonderful papers and natural colors to the ancient objects scattered in a deliberately random way. With a background of Guccini music dear to me, I jumped back in time and ... I would never go out!

Matteo, owner and master craftsman, gave us a tour of the beautiful machines that he uses to print and emboss using traditional techniques. There's a superb collection of prints, gifts and even some of their publications. A highlight of Lucca.

He has several gigantic machines that he uses with bookplates to create beautiful prints. We had a wonderful time chatting with him and he also showed me how the embossing works. Please make you way there if you are visiting Lucca !
