A	Antonio Vergallo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ L'Anfiteatro romano di Teramo dista solo pochi metri ad ovest dal teatro romano; la parte più evidente della residua muratura perimetrale in laterizio dell'anfiteatro è visibile in via San Berardo e nell'area immediatamente a sinistra della Cattedrale. Il piano antico è situato a 6 metri di profondità rispetto all'attuale livello stradale. Nel perimetro murario si individuano diversi accessi come quello ad arco sull'asse minore dell'ellisse e quello con tre archi affiancati lungo l'asse maggiore. Una serie di passaggi secondari conducevano direttamente alle gradinate per il pubblico, della cui struttura radiale non rimane traccia. E' una area molto vasta ed è un peccato che non sia visitabile e che non venga riqualificato. The Roman amphitheater of Teramo is only a few meters west from the Roman theater; the most evident part of the remaining brick perimeter wall of the amphitheater is visible in via San Berardo and in the area immediately to the left of the Cathedral. The ancient plan is located 6 meters below the current street level. In the perimeter of the walls there are various entrances such as the arched one on the minor axis of the ellipse and the one with three arches side by side along the major axis. A series of secondary passages led directly to the stands for the public, of which no trace remains. It is a very large area and it is a pity that it cannot be visited and that it is not redeveloped.

Tenuto meglio sarebbe sicuramente più carino. Se sarebbe aperto al pubblico con orari precisi sicuramente i turisti lo visiterebbero. Ho visto che la struttura è fatiscente. I vari interven fatti nel corso del tempo si vedono... e secondo me sono stati fatti malissimo senza tener conto dei materiali. Che peccato! Ricordo con piacere che negli anni 70 in questo sito Archeologico venivano realizzate mostre e manifestazion artistiche. Ho partecipato qui, in questo splendido allora, a verie mostre di pittura estemporanea con Tarantelli, Montauti e altri artisti territoriali... Il presidente del Turismo e artinagianato Bucciarelli. Allora era un incanto! Ricordo che sopra la struttura si poteva accedere attraverso un ponticello e ammirare tutto il complesso architettonico. Vorrei dire agli assessori del Comune di Teramo, alla Sovrintendente dei beni archeologici agli enti del Turismo di intervenire altrimenti non resterà più niente di questo patrimonio che riporta alla memoria la grandezza e la bellezza dell'Arte Romana. The president of Tourism and artinagianato Bucciarelli. Then it was a charm! I remember that above the structure it was possible to access through a bridge and admire the whole architectural complex. I would like to say to the councilors of the Municipality of Teramo, to the Superintendent of Archaeological Heritage and to the Tourist Boards to intervene otherwise nothing will remain of this heritage which brings to mind the greatness and beauty of Roman Art.
