Due stelle per il posto e (speriamo) il vino. Sono andato direttamente in cantina per essere consigliato, ma è stato peggio che comprare in internet o da un qualsiasi rivenditore. Nonostante abbia rivolto varie domande al personale le risposte ricevute sono state generiche e con tono altezzoso, a dirla tutta mi hanno dato in mano il listino e finita li.. e questo trattamento per aver speso centinaia di euro, davvero molto deluso.

Siamo stati in cantina per acquistare del amarone e la poja e il listino era più caro del ristorante dove avevamo cenato la sera prima Quando abbiamo chiesto il perché la signora ci ha risposto che il ristoratore non sapeva cosa aveva in mano, incredibile !!!! Le 2 stelle sono solo per il vino Lo shop ????? Decidete voi

I visited it recently and tasted the delicious wines they make. I was perfectly attended by professional staff in the wine shop and certainly, my experience was very good as I expected from a good brand as Allegrini is. However when I was leaving, I stopped my car in the entry road for one minute to take a picture of the tower in the entry. It is a wide road perfectly for two cars. I didn't disturb the transit. At this moment, a BMW X3 white with a lady as driver stopped in front of me. In a very aggressive tone and shouting voice she started to tell me anything in Italian. No idea what she said but I thought because I stopped my car in the side of the road. I tried to explain her that I did because there is not any signal that said the opposite and I wanted to take just a picture for one minute. The engine car was on. The monolog in Italian was aggressive and she used her hands to gesticulate and make it clearer. Completely out of control. So, I seeing this embarrassing moment to me I decide to leave without the picture and she left very fast with the car saying something that seemed to me like an insult. I guess she is not a person of responsibility in the winery otherwise she would know how difficult is to get a client and how easy is to lose it. In my case, the bottles I purchased in my visit will be the last ones I will enjoy and certainly they will not the taste to me the same anymore. This is the same when you go to a good restaurant and all the food is wonderful but the coffee is bad and they mistake with the bill... So, your last memory is not good. I write this long comment because the embarrassing experience I suffered and negative situation I had without reason during my allegrini experience.

No free wine tasting available. We would have had to pay 15 € per person to try the two wines that were interesting for us. The two interesting wines would have cost around 20-25 euros together (1 bottle each). So tasting more expensive than the wine itself? For us it was a waste of time... We then bought our wine somewhere else in the Valpolicella area.

One tip for you: Don't do the wine tasting. Let me explain: The Villa certainly is a wonderful location, with its surrounding vineyards it's definitely worth visiting it (which is for free). But somehow the atmosphere in the shop is not very welcoming and not like one expects from Italy. I cannot really explain why, but it all seems to be about money and selling. So, the wine tasting for 3 wines is 15€. All of these wines are worth around or less than 15€. Instead of wasting the money on 3 sips of wine, rather buying one entire bottle (the more expensive one is better, as one would expect, and can be bought blindly). The information given during the tasting is equivalent to the content of the booklet, which you can grab at the entrance. The people involved are forcefully friendly, in fact one man does never know anything, and another lady is perfect at making an angry face when one asks her. We spent a considerable amount of money there, but we did not even receive a nice packaging for the expensive bottles; they were just put into an old paper box and sealed. I don't know, business seems to ruin this beautiful place.

Visited as group of 7 on Friday last week, for the tour and paired wine lunch to celebrate a milestone birthday so we wanted somewhere a bit special and this was definitely it. Fabulous time had by all, team were warm and friendly and shared tonnes of interesting information (and obviously with all Covid precautions in place). The wine pairing lunch was fantastic, we had 1 veggie and 1 non drinker and they were very accommodating, we weren’t rushed at all, had a great long lazy lunch. A highlight of our holiday, if you get the chance definitely go and visit!!
