Agli appassionati di aeronautica è una visita tecnica molto interessante,dove poter vedere il reparto di manutenzione dei caccia Tornado ed EFA EUROFIGHTER 2000.

Airport of the Italian Air Force, which can only be visited by associations of the Aeronautical weapon, through permits issued by the ministry of defense.
For aviation enthusiasts it is a very interesting technical visit, where they can see the maintenance department of the Tornado and EFA EUROFIGHTER 2000 fighters.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ho fatto il militare all'aeroporto di Cameri bei ricordi e conosciuto sottoufficiali in gamba, commilitoni fantastici. Era l'anno 1984. Facevo parte dell' autoreparto come autista, emozionante quando decollavano gli F.104, i tornado.
I did the military at the airport of Cameri good memories and met good non-commissioned officers, fantastic comrades. It was the year 1984. I was part of the auto-department as a driver, exciting when the F.104s, the tornadoes, took off.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cameri è stata per molti anni la casa del 53° Stormo da quando venne ricostituito nel 1967 ed il 21° Gruppo proveniente dal 51° Stormo veniva inquadrato allo stesso per difendere il settore nord occidentale Italico.
L'emblema del 21° Gruppo è una tigre e per ciò il 21° Gruppo entra a far parte di un club prestigioso che negli anni si riunisce di volta in volta nelle basi europee ospitanti reparti con l'emblema di una tigre. Questi eventi vengono chiamati "Tiger Meet" ovvero "Raduno delle tigri".
Questi raduni, oltre alla goliardica assimilanza dello stemma, danno ai reparti di volo partecipanti, la possibilità di confrontarsi con missioni combinate e scambi di tattiche operative tra vari tipi di aeromobili differenti tra loro per prestazioni e ruoli.
Dal 5 al 12 Luglio 1988 il Tiger Meet si svolse nella base Novarese e fu questo l'ultimo Tiger Meet svoltosi in Italia dopo quelli del '73 e '80.
Per l'occasione fu dipinto un F 104S con una tigre in fusoliera a ricordo dell'evento, ricordato sopratutto dagli appassionati e spotter per la gentile concessione che fece lo Stato Maggiore Aeronautica, dando la possibilità a molti di loro di partecipare al media day che si tenne il giorno 7.

Cameri has been the home of the 53rd Wing for many years since it was reconstituted in 1967 and the 21st Group from the 51st Wing was assigned to the same to defend the north-western Italian sector.
The emblem of the 21st Group is a tiger and for this reason the 21st Group becomes part of a prestigious club that over the years meets from time to time in the European bases hosting departments with the emblem of a tiger. These events are called "Tiger Meet" or "Gathering of tigers".
These rallies, in addition to the goliardic assimilation of the coat of arms, give the participating flight departments the opportunity to confront themselves with combined missions and exchanges of operational tactics between various types of aircraft different from each other in terms of performance and roles.
From 5th to 12th July 1988 the Tiger Meet took place in the Novarese base and this was the last Tiger Meet held in Italy after those of '73 and '80.
For the occasion, an F 104S with a tiger in the fuselage was painted in memory of the event, remembered above all by fans and spotters for the kind concession made by the Air Force Staff, giving the opportunity to many of them to participate in the media day that was held on day 7.
