Go past the over-priced and over-rated Michelin star restaurant Venissa (yes we are there the previous night and were less than impressed) and eat true local delights, home made chilli sauce and liquorice liqueur, for the freshest seafood and local produce and innovative cooking without pretention and over-inflated prices, not to mention the superb service from all staff especially the chef, Guiliano.

β β β β β The restaurant was a real genuine find on the island of Burano. We received wonderful service and the food was quality food sourced from the area. We had an awesome local seafood platter, as well as the BEST pasta carbonerra the whole trip. They even gave us complementary cookies for dessert and the chef came out himself to answer questions we had about the town. There is often a lot of overpriced tourist traps around Venice, so it was amazing that we found such a genuine restaurant that served the real deal. The location also overlooks the bay where the ferries come into the island so is super quiet and relaxing. Excellent and elegant decor to boot.
