Great homemade ricotta

Great food and friendly atmosphere.

It beautifull there and staff is great

Hardly speaks English, but we got a room, directions, beer, dinner and breakfast all fine.

The food was very good. The canoli excellent! The view very beautiful ❤️

We enjoyed our stay at Agriturismo Tenuta Margitello in Comiso, Ragusa very much. Very hospitable reception and care in this rural agriturismo. Fine pool and daily cleaning of the rooms. The restaurant serves a daily changing 4-course menu with fresh products from the own farm supplemented with products from the region. Absolutely recommended!

For our first holiday with an infant, we chose to stay at this agriturismo together with another couple and their baby. We weren't sure what to expect, but I'm happy to say that it was the perfect choice. The lodging is situated halfway up a hill, where the temperature seems to be a few degrees lower than any other area. This was a blessing during the heatwave of August 2021. There are two areas where one can stay; at the main site right above the restaurant, and on another complex that is a few minutes uphill from the main site. Our choice was on the main site. Our room (No.2) had a double bed and a cot was set up. Considering the heat outside, the room was pretty cool. Nonetheless, its air-conditioned and cooling the room takes only a few minutes. Our room was meticulously cleaned on a daily basis and care was taken not to disturb our baby stuff (which dominated the room). Even though we slept right above the restaurant, we were not bothered by any noises from the diners downstairs. The bathroom has all the basic necessities. A small refrigerator kept our drink cool and icepacks frozen. Breakfast was offered daily which comprises of a choice of cheese, ham cutlets, fresh ricotta, bread, yoghurt, cereal and various Italian pastries, amongst others. Speaking of food, dinner is served from Monday to Saturday. On Sundays lunch is served instead. For €18 per person, one gets antipasto, primo, secondo and desert, together with wine and water. Most of the ingredients are produced onsite. All of the food was mouth watering! The site also features a decently sized pool that is surrounded with deck chairs and umbrellas. This was obviously the main highlight for the kids, and the best way to keep ourselves cool. The water was always clean and I noticed that the chemicals are tended to daily. There's also a playground with swings, slides etc and the surrounding fields house various animals such as sheep, cows, peafowl, chickens, cats and dogs. This was yet another plus for the kids. The site is very close to all the local highlights, rarely did we have to drive more than 30 minutes to get to somewhere of interest. All in all, I have nothing but praise for the owners and I will most probably return here in the future.

This agriturismo is set in a beautiful location overlooking Comiso. The thing that struck us most was the peace and quiet in this place! It has a beautiful pool area, the room was comfortable and clean and with a very nice view. I highly recommend taking dinner here as food is excellent and abundant. (Dinner is not served on Sunday evenings). Breakfast is typically Sicilian, so a bit basic but has the essentials: bread, hams, cheeses, ricotta, yoghurts, croissants, teas and coffess. Safe parking for motorbike. For animal lovers, there are some sweet dogs and cats roaming the area :) We will definitely return in the future.
