★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love this place and always have. The owners have vineyards with excellent local wines and are experts in Modenese cuisine. The tortellini are out of this world as are the tortelloni (pumpkin or ricotta/spinach). Wines of course are superb. Desserts, save space for dessert! A special note must be made for their aged balsamic vinegar, this is the real deal and difficult to find this good elsewhere, served at the table for your greens or on their filetto all'aceto. Top everything off with their nocino. Service excellent. Nice garden to sit outside in the summer, pleasant sitting inside in winter.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great restaurant which venerated the local culinary tradition. Dined here a month ago with several other Italians and tasted everything from pasta to meat over the course of an afternoon. Here you'll be able to taste authentic Lambrusco di Sorbara as well as great pasta. I would hesitate to give five stars as I found the meat needed more flavour and spices, whereas the gelatin in the fruit cake was too dominant but apart from that, you'll probably find something which matches your tastes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place for dinner even if it feels like the middle of nowhere driving there. Ample car parking space. The heavy set front door might be closed but just give it a good push during opening hours to let yourself in.
Highly recommend the tortellini in broth as a local specialty - add parmesan to enhance the taste!
Run by what seems like a husband and wife team, the wife speaks English and mans the front desk whilst also responding to online bookings. The husband does not speak English and performs a waiting role so you'll need to break out your best Italian.
Recommended for an authentic experience.
