Time spent at Castello di Querceto was the highlight of our trip to Florence. The vineyard is beautiful, the villas are so spacious and homey, and the people are phenomenal.

Located about an hour south of Florence, Castello di Querceto is a nice winery in the heart of Tuscany. We stayed for a wine tasting session and really enjoyed their Chianti and spumante. The grounds are well kept and feature several peacocks. We aren't wine connoisseurs but every seemed to enjoyed the experience. Be sure to stop by Greve in Chianti on the way - excellent place to get some pecorino cheese and prosciutto.

This place is straight gorg. The tour that came with our stay was fun, their cellar was super cool and the wine at the end of tour was very good. The rooms and bathrooms were stellar. If there was ac it would be 100/100. As is it was a great stay. Would for sure come again.

My husband and two friends had a delightful visit to the Querceto. This was our second visit and we enjoyed both. Summers are hot so a dip in the pool is delightful. Be sure to try the wines, they are great. We loved the tour of the winery which was modern. All of the people are friendly and helpful. We spent time visiting the many recommended villages and restaurants in the area. Generally we had our main meal during the day and picked up light refreshments for the evening. Driving at night on single or two lanes is an adventure! Watch out for the cingale (wild boar). I look forward to returning to Castello di Querceto.

Wow- I don't know what tour the other people went on to get a 4 and 5 start rating, but it is definitely not the tour we received! First off, finding where to go inside when you get there isn't the easiest. Then we get there and instead of doing the wine tasting after, he started having people do it before. That was 1 mistake. He made the whole group sit there until 1 (ONE) couple finished their wine tasting. We didn't want to hold anyone up so we asked if we could get sample 2 and 3 after the tour, he said yes. The "tour" is basically a man who's accent is VERY thick and hard to understand , (it NOT the ONE hour like they told you), which actually ended up being a good thing. All the tour was - Barrels of already made wine sitting in rooms with BLACK mold everywhere. I was trying to cover my mouth so I wasn't breathing this stuff in!!! He took you to a high point that you could see all of their vineyards. That was pretty cool, but nope- none of it was worth the 10 euros each we paid. We didn't like the wine either and didn't even end up drinking anymore past the first glass- Disappointed for sure, wished I could get that time and money back. :(

A favourite of mine for many years now, the Castello di Querceto is set atop a beautiful Tuscan Valmet in the heart of the chianti hillside. The family and staff are just superb and very welcoming and accommodating. The wine is fantastic, and what you would expect from one of the older vineyards in the region. I make a point of topping up each year. I cannot recommend the location, accommodation, wine and people strongly enough. ?

One of the best experiences our family had in Chianti last summer! We were treated like we were part of the family. The tour, the lunch and the warmth were incredible. The fantastic selection of wines we tasted was icing on the cake. Looking for a local place in the US now to purchase a couple of Cases of the Vin Santo Chianti Classico (my absolute favorite)

The wine is incredible!!! We were lucky enough to stay on-Site in the castle apartments and enjoyed every minute of it. The atmosphere is laid-back and we were treated just like family! I highly recommend stopping by or staying the night. Probably the coolest wine cellar I have ever seen, with wine dating back to 1904. They do have some beautiful peacocks on the property, but the wine is what I remember most and can’t wait to visit again!!
