β β β β β We arrived looking for calm and spend a few days away . The main reason for choosing this hotel was the pool and so we left the beach where we were. the pool was empty and nowhere was stated on the website. We spent two sleepless nights because there was a near ponds full of frogs croaking that kept overnight, then we left. The breakfasts were good, but accompanied by a music super high, unpleasant when you just wake up and try to talk to the rest of the table. and finally the coffee was undrinkable ( are we in Italy). very sorry to leave the little beach where we were to find all this.

β β β β β This place is like a little piece of heaven! Set upon a hill, 20 mins drive from Volterra, the hotel commands 360degree panoramic views of the breath-taking Tuscan countryside. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, the room spacious and tastefully furnished, and the food delicious. The hotel is quite isolated so I would recommend a car to make the most of the local area, but this is the perfect base to explore from - Florence, Pisa and Siena are all within an hour's drive, and volterra is well worth visiting.

β β β β β The location and views are fantastic. A lovely owner, however the food is average. Here and there are some things they'll need to pay attention to (swimming pool is looking worn out, rooms are clean, but bathrooms can be be better, breakfast is average,..) but the views and location make a lot of these things up of course!

β β β β β It was a lovely stay at Agrihotel il Palagetto! The villa is located in a solitary area among the hills and olive gardens. From the terrace opens gorgeous views of the surroundings. This is a very cozy hotel with a soothing atmosphere: beautiful sunsets, birdsong and cooing doves under the roof. The room is cozy, spacious and clean. Very nice and helpful staff. Special thanks to the owners of the hotel Marco and Julia: a very nice couple, they helped us in many questions and took into consideration all our needs . Good breakfast buffet, delicious coffee and a pleasant atmosphere in the restaurant. The hotel is situated in a solitary place, so choosing this hotel is better to rent a car. As for the sightseeing you can visit the nearby medieval town of Volterra, which is 20 minutes by car, the city of Siena (1 hour by car), and if you want to go the sea, the nearest cozy sea town on the coast is Cecina (also is an 1 hour drive from villa). So the hotel exceeded all expectations and the stay left only a pleasant impressions!
