A'Furmicula discorestaurant

Personale gentile, cucina direi buona ..consiglio la paella che giudico ottima...poi se vuoi " smaltire" ti consentono di ballare nella pista appena sopra al ristorante...sempre di loro proprietà...

Pizza molto buona. Abbiamo mangiato due volte la pizza in questo locale all'aperto. È sottile, larga, riccamente condita, ma digeribile e non causa arsura. I prezzi sono buoni. Il ristorante offre anche menù di pesce e carne, ma abbiamo assaggiato solo degli antipastini (alici marinate e moscardini) che non erano male. Dalle 22 c' è musica dal vivo.

Spaghetti al cartoccio sono stati buonissimi, anche le mezze maniche ordinate da mia moglie erano squisite. Gli assaggi di mare ottimi, il pesce davvero di qualità. Il pezzo forte a parte l'ottima frittura è stata la tagliata tonnata. Il servizio è stato di una cordialità difficile da trovare in giro. Erano anni che non lasciavo la mancia ma chi ci ha servito l'ha meritata tutta e anche se di giovane età, potrebbe insegnare a chi il mestiere lo fa da anni.

Mi vedo costretta a dare 2 stelle perche fortunatamente ho provato prima i piatti del ristorante antipasto misto di mare senza unfamia e senza lode, e due risotti uno alla pescatora e uno scampi e zafferano (buono putroppo mantecato con panna che fa molto anni 80). Quello che ha fatto abbassare la valutazione è la pizzeria, pizza praticamente inqualificabile , pasta sciapa completamente e ingredienti che non si amalgamano per niente. Peccato perché il personale è anche simpatico, ma abbiamo mangiato perché avevamo fame.

Good food although the waiter is a bit pushy about what you want to eat and the menu is quite expensive (we paid 12 euros for a small pork steak that you can buy at the supermarket for 1 euro)

The food is great. But the value for money is quite ridiculous especially for a pork steak which is €12 that you can buy at €2 for a kilo.

We ordered 2 pizzas to take away: it was fast, good, and quite cheap. La pizza fantasia del pizzaiolo was very good in my case! ?

1 but could have been 5. I like to give fair reviews but this one may not come across as being fair, simply because 1 person (who we belive to be the owner) spoiled our experience. This is our second visit to the Tremiti island and to be honest its not easy to find a good restaurant. Our first trip lead us to a popular place which had good write ups but our latest 3 night break would have been a little boring going to the same place night after night, so after a little research and visits to places we finally decided on A'Furmicula, even though the thought of a disco restaurant wasn't what we were looking for. Luckily for us the food was very good and the prices were much more reasonable than everywhere else we had tried before. At the end of our evening we took our drinks up to the seating area, which was nicely light and where a solo acoustic guitarist was playing. We asked if we could take our unfinished drinks and were told yes. From then on we ordered further drinks from the music bar ( which was 20/30% more expensive) and later in the evening we paid our restaurant bill. Were enjoyed our food, service and entertainment enough to book for the following day. After tonight's visit we are not sure we will go back. The food was once again very good, the service from one person in particular was not great but after we sent back some of the second courses that came at the same time as the first, we finally managed to get to a point where we were happy. After the meal we paid our bill and thought we would once again take our drinks to the music area to relax and listen to the solo guitarist. However this time we were stopped by (who we think was the owner) and abruptly asked where we thought we were going. When we explained she said 'not with those drinks you are not, they need to be consumed at your table'. Considering we had a great previous night and complimented her on the restaurant, it was an end of season evening with no more than 10 watching the solo artist and the fact that we had spent good money on 2 evenings we were shocked to say the least the way she spoke to us. There are no signs telling you how the system works and despite the fact we were allowed, the previous night, to take our drinks to the music area the lady was unbelievably ignorant to us. We were actually shocked and very disappointed. I feel sorry to write a bad review but who on earth does this person think she is? Owner or not this is unacceptable on all levels. We were respectable clients and happily spent almost e450 over 2 evenings, we did not expect this type of treatment and attitude. What a huge shame that we feel it necessary to warn others about this place.
