★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ma che malinconia! Come si può trattare un palazzo storico così male? Sarebbe bellissimo poterlo vedere vivo ed abitabile, purtroppo adesso è solo una facciata di uno dei più belli ed antichi palazzi del quartiere.
 But what a melancholy! How can a historic building be treated so badly? It would be wonderful to be able to see it alive and habitable, unfortunately now it is only a facade of one of the most beautiful and ancient buildings in the neighborhood.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Palazzo rinascimentale con una storia che affonda nella leggenda. Risale all'inizio del XV secolo, costruito ed abitato da Antonio Penne, segretario del re Ladislao di Durazzo. Purtroppo non è visitabile e la facciata, in alcuni punti, non si presenta in condizioni ottimali.
Renaissance palace with a history that sinks into legend. It dates back to the early fifteenth century, built and inhabited by Antonio Penne, secretary of King Ladislao of Durazzo. Unfortunately it cannot be visited and the façade, in some places, is not in optimal conditions.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ E presso la porta di ingresso alla città, forse ora porta San Gennaro, (fu spostata) al tempo di Ladislao di Durazzo e per un ventennio Penne ne fu il segretario, sorge palazzo Penne, con la facciata ad arco ribassato gotico ed a bugne rinascimentali. Gli stemmi sono araldici ed in onore del re angioino, il cartiglio e li stemma con epigrafe riporta i versi di Marziale. Il palazzo è stato di diversi proprietari, l'ultimo fu un famoso vulcanologo. Ora fa parte del patrimonio artistico della città, riusciranno a risanarlo?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Piazzetta Teodoro Monticelli,adiacente al Palazzo si scende per il pendino S.Barbara(gradini),che portano a Piazza Bovio o della borsa. Il palazzo è uno dei più antichi di napoli ,fino a qualche decennio fa era ancora abbitato,io stesso cio vissuto per un anno circa nel 1973/74.Il Palazzo scende insieme al pendino adiacente .
Piazzetta Teodoro Monticelli, adjacent to the Palace, go down the S.Barbara hanger (steps), which lead to Piazza Bovio or Piazza della Borsa. The building is one of the oldest in Naples, it was still inhabited until a few decades ago, I myself lived for about a year in 1973/74. The building goes down together with the adjacent hanger.
