The Museo delle Uniformi is located in the Citadelle Alessandria. An old historic fortress and barracks. In the museum you can see the Military History of Italy. Uniforms and equipment of the soldiers and old weapons to look at. It is an interesting and orderly exhibition. A visit is recommended!

Splendid museum of military uniforms and how much passion in its volunteers. We wanted to visit the Citadel of Alexandria, and in the meantime we took the opportunity to visit this gem hidden within the walls of this old barracks. A group of bersaglieri has collected 1500 historical artifacts with uniforms, weapons (renders innoque), documentation varying from the Risorgimento to the Second World War. Since then the collection has been enriched reaching over 2200 exhibits, thanks to the donations of many passionate visitors that rather than leaving these objects closed in a closet, have preferred to donate them to the association. The visit is free, and to savor and discover the different anecdotes, I suggest you to be accompanied by one of the volunteers who will amaze you with the amount of information and details. A wing of the building has been dedicated to the Museum and the different dormitories each contain a historical period. In addition to mannequins, fake horses and objects of the time, they have wisely tried to create a setting for the period indicated. You will find straw where there will be stables, sand where you want to represent the colonial period, and rubble for the post-war period. Photos, articles, posters and much more complete the work. There you will find bazookas, pistols, sabers, machine guns, rifles that we used during the naja, the largest European collection of trench art (shells worked), an original Garibaldi garment, the first uniform of the Alpini, clothes and uniforms used since the last king of Italy, and much more ... At the end I suggest you to sign the register and above all to leave a donation to these volunteers who, if you are lucky enough to listen to them, really deserve it! Congratulations, you further increase what you are creating beautiful and remember: "pace and bersaglieri vehicles!"

Absolutely to visit, a jewel carried on by the passion of some volunteers who put passion into telling the story of our uniforms. 16 well reconstructed and very interesting rooms. Free admission with free offer.

Museum inside the Citadel of Alessandria, fortress of the '700 with a star plan and park that can be visited during seasonal opening hours. The museum inside is characterized by rooms where daily scenes have been reconstructed as faithfully as possible, showing the evolution over time of the Italian uniform. The exhibition is very well curated and detailed, the volunteers who follow you along the entire path of the museum really put a lot of passion and make the visit unforgettable. Thank you very much for the daily effort to keep the memory alive through the tales of the volunteers and the scenes represented inside the museum. I highly recommend a visit, even with children and teenagers!
