Mercure Firenze Centro

I didn't like the room so I changed hotel after just a night instead of 3. The breakfast however was super dupa great.

Very good option near the main train station in Firenze. We were checked-in hours before the regular time and we appreciate the flexibility. The staff was very polite and helpful, really interested in our well being. The rooms were spacious and clean, and well-decorated. You can find cheaper options in Firenze but having a full non-smoking hotel in Italy is always reassuring. The hotel is close to the Central Market and many restaurants and eateries. The only inconvenience is that the hotel was not storing luggage when we stayed there, so we ended up having to change our plans a bit because of that.

It's alright. The towels are a bit dirty. Breakfast was ok. The good thing is that it's right next to the Santa Maria Novella train station which is convenient. If you're looking for a place to stay for a night or two, this hotel will work fine. The hotel room itself is decent but the biggest downside is the bathroom shower water leaks everywhere. It's a little annoying. The reason that I gave a low review is because it is also pricy for what we're getting. I will say that the staff is nice.

Very nice and clean. Awesome staff. The room accomodations are big. Bed was huge and comfortable. Staff very helpful and polite.

conveniently located, a short walk from the train station (so, if you arrive by train, no need for a cab) and a 10-15min stroll to the Duomo. Although inside an older building, the hotel is modern and functional and my room was clean and spacious (for one person)

Excellent location near the station and with easy access to all the main sites. Pleasant helpful staff. Well worth paying a little extra for Privilege room.

Everything seems beautiful during our 3 nights stay here. Love the interior, the rooms, the location. Breakfast was great. Staff were very friendly. Very modern hotel I must say.

The Mercure Centro was a great idea -- the location near the train station was the best -- easy walk -- lots of restaurants to pick from in the area if you LOVE Excellent Chinese food -- 1 block down towards the Train Station is Capitale della Cina and they offer the best Chinese outside of Chinatown San Francisco and Beijing --they offer dim sum as appetizers. OH - I requested early check-in BUT as luck would have it my jet into Pisa was late causing me to arrive into Florence late and when I checked in -- at the time I didn't know it --they had in fact changed me 20 Euros for Early check-in - by the time I realized they had already charged me and said "I apologize" and no refund. SO BE CAREFUL about this Regarding -- Hotel Breakfast avoid it -- it the same boring thing every day -- WARNING-- due to covid restrictions -- you can not serve yourself at all -- you must order from one of the restaurant servers. Coffee --should be in Bigger cups for Americans because small cappuccino cups are fast to empty then what --you have to wait until someone is available to order another -- I GOT TIRED OF THAT. Food was boring -- scrambled eggs - bacon - breads - yogurts - this is boring from the start Coffee --always ask for Americano Coffee so they use a bigger cup because the cappuccino is not the HOT in temperature because they fail heat up a COLD CUP before usage. I was the 6 days had 6 breakfasts and on the last they were overwhelmed with people staying at the hotel so getting a 2nd cup of coffee was impossible. In the room there are no instructions on how to operate the temperature control -- no instructions on how to operate the coffee machine - no instruction on anything for that matter. The staff were amazing and very helpful and some speak decent English. I put an language app on my phone to help out questions -- I did the laundry service 2 times and they impressed me with the services BUT I don't understand WHY they cannot put the clothes back in your room -- I had to go to the front desk every time to collect my clean clothes. One of my days there -- My room was not serviced and I never found out why. Checking out was a pain -- why --well I would have thought that my laundry service would be automatically charged to my credit card on file but it turned out they only charged me for my room in full and in advance thus making me wait and pay for my laundry service. OVERALL -- I would return but I have learned my lessons the hard way --
