Biglietto di ingresso di 4€, dimensioni molto ridotte, ma grande esperienza del titolare che racconta la loro attività e permette di imparare qualcosa in più si questo particolare volatile. Gentile e preparata la guida,da cui ho appreso davvero tante cose che non conoscevo. Meravigliose le cicogne, che né io nella mia bambina avevamo mai visto. Simpatiche da matti le due caprette. Tutt'intorno una natura che emoziona. Bellissima esperienza. CENTRO CICOGNE LIPU S. ELENA DI SILEA Il Centro Cicogne di S. Elena di Silea, nei pressi di Treviso, è situato all’interno del Parco Regionale Veneto del fiume Sile, in prossimità di aree umide e campi coltivati che mantengono ancora caratteristiche semi-naturali. Il Centro è sorto nel settembre 1992 seguendo il modello operativo del primo Centro Cicogne LIPU di Racconigi (CN) avviato nel 1985, nel quale era stato avviato un importante progetto di reintroduzione in natura della specie Cicogna bianca. Il “Progetto Cicogne LIPU” prevede una serie di azioni volte a favorire la nidificazione in Italia della specie: educazione al rispetto delle cicogne, repressione del bracconaggio, protezione degli habitat, sorveglianza e protezione diretta dei nidi, realizzazione di Centri Cicogne per la reintroduzione della specie. ELENA DI SILEA CENTER The Storks Center of S. Elena di Silea, near Treviso, is located within the Veneto Regional Park of the Sile river, near wetlands and cultivated fields that still maintain semi-natural characteristics. The Center was established in September 1992 following the operational model of the first Cicero LIPU Center in Racconigi (CN) started in 1985, in which an important project of reintroduction in kind of the White Stork species was started. The "Cicogne LIPU Project" involves a series of actions aimed at favoring the nesting of the species in Italy: education in respect for storks, suppression of poaching, protection of habitats, surveillance and direct protection of nests, construction of Storks Centers for the reintroduction of species.

Molto bello poter vedere da vicino le cicogne mentre qualcuno spiga non solo tutto ciò che le riguarda ma anche molte caratteristiche dell'ecosistema che riguarda il Sile. Non è un parco in cui passare una giornata intera, ma, vale la pena visitarlo. The operators, who among other things are volunteers, are friendly and well trained. It is very nice to be able to see the storks up close while someone is earing not only everything that concerns them but also many characteristics of the ecosystem that concerns the Sile. It is not a park to spend a full day in, but it is worth a visit.

Aperto a visite didattiche e a giornate divulgative a tema specifico. Di grande interesse sia per il suo aspetto scientifico, adatto a tutte le età, che per i bambini che potranno osservare e conoscere, accompagnati dall'abile guida dei volontari "cicognari" più di una meraviglia della natura. Le cicogne sono bellissime ma c'è tanto altro, abbiamo visto anche il Martin pescatore! ---! Sicuramente ci tornerò, magari a disegnare, :)! A wonderful place run by very knowledgeable enthusiasts. We had a wonderful afternoon despite the rain. The storks are beautiful but there is so much more, we have also seen the Kingfisher! * --- *! I will definitely come back, maybe to draw, :)!

Se andate 19 maggio troverete appena nati i cicognini che ieri abbiamo visto covare! I recommend everyone to go there and see the Lipu oasis at least once in their life and listen to the explanations of the guide Paolo! If you go May 19th you will find the new-born storks that we saw smoldering yesterday!

La visita guidata è compresa nel biglietto d'ingresso ed è caldamente consigliata per capire la storia del centro e di come funziona la reintroduzione della cicogna bianca. È aperto su prenotazione per gruppi tutto l'anno e in primavera/estate/autunno ci sono anche aperture senza prenotazione circa una volta al mese. Le guide, tutte volontarie, sono preparate e pronte a rispondere alle curiosità. €4 per gli adulti, €3 per i ragazzi, gratuito per i bambini e soci Lipu. È possibile associarsi alla Lipu direttamente presso il centro Quiet place, you can admire the storks both in the aviary and free.
