Crazy as this ancient church was fully incorporated in the centuries in successive structures. The dome can be seen right from Google maps

The church was built in 1572 to commemorate the victory of the Christian league over the Turks, in the historic battle of Lepanto in 1571, as a thanksgiving to the Madonna. In the following years, it was equipped with the dome and new adjoining rooms, which were then used as a convent. These renovations and renovations continued over time, until, in 1824, the Church was deprived of the façade and the rooms of the convent were entrusted to the private individuals who made them dwellings. In fact, today, apart from the three-arched portico that gives access to the church and the visible dome from above, it is completely incorporated into residential buildings between Via Vannella Gaetani and Via Arcoleo.
