★ ★ ★ ★ ★ E' una vecchia cava di estrazione di pietra lavica, La Cava ormai in disuso situata in contrada Salto delle rose, a Nord dell'abitato di Nicolosi. Un luogo davvero stupendo dove è possibile ammirare la stratificazione delle colate laviche antiche e recenti. Qualche tempo fa era stato allestito un balcone da cui i turisti diretti all'Etna potevano ammirare la cava.
 It is an old quarry of lava stone extraction, La Cava now in disuse located in the district of Salto delle rose, north of the town of Nicolosi. A truly wonderful place where it is possible to admire the stratification of the ancient and recent lava flows. Some time ago a balcony had been set up from which tourists headed to Etna could admire the quarry.
